Student Snapshot is a feature in PowerSchool Assessment and Analytics (PSAA) that allows you to see a student's test scores such as SOLs, Benchmarks and SGAs, current and historical grades, and attendance history in one place. Data is presented both visually and numerically and can be changed to show specific school years.
To begin log into PSAA, go to the Reporting tab and select Longitudinal Data
Pre-assessment - To see how much background knowledge the student has about the material that you are about to cover. This lets you see if you need to dig deeper and / or supply supporting skills needed to cover the current skill.
Post Assessment - Post assessments allow you and the student to see how well the learning was received for the objective.
Weekly Assessment - Weekly assessment data can be used to see how often to scaffold in a particular standard into instruction rotation or if a complete reteach is needed. This data can be used to decide groups for interventions for the following week.
Benchmarks - Schools use benchmarks to somewhat rate the level of growth that students are experiencing within a given amount of time.
Standardized Testing - Standardized testing can and should be used for prior year data, goal setting, and data tracking.
Assessments can be done online or on paper. Assessments done online offer instant feedback to both the students and the teachers. PowerSchool Assessment and Analytics is one tool available to teachers. Follow these instructions and create an exam that you can use to collect data on your student.

Student Data Trackers are a way for students, teachers, and parents to keep track of student performance. Students take ownership in their learning by setting individual goals, then tracking their own data to determine their progress.

Goal setting is designed to give you and the student something to work towards. When setting goals be sure to keep it realistic for both yourself and the student.
Goals are developed early in the school year. The goals describe observable behavior and/or measurable results that would occur when a goal is achieved. The acronym SMART is a useful way to self-assess a goal’s feasibility and worth.
Examples
Last year you missed _________questions and made a score of _______%. This year we are setting a goal to miss not more than ________ questions giving you a score of _______%
I want to_____________________ by _____________________ so I will______________________to meet my goal.
