Year Five

We started our World Book Day with sharing some book reviews of our favourite books we have read. It was lovely to be able to share our favourite stories and discover some new books we would like to read. 

We took part in a live quiz with the National Literacy Trust. 

Bodiam had the absolute pleasure to welcome the Little Bears into our classroom and share some stories with them. There was something quite magical about seeing our youngest and oldest learners connect through stories!

Using the same text as the rest of the academy, we created flowers to eventually become a part of our whole academy 'sky garden'. 

As an academy we looked at the book 'The Secret Sky Garden' by Linda Sarah this world book day. We decided to link this learning to our non-fiction writing and wrote instructions on how to create a sky garden.
