It's been a week packed with creative writing, teamwork, and exciting investigations! In Literacy, we had lots of fun writing our own clerihew poems about Jemmy Button. The children were wonderfully witty and cheeky, showcasing some great rhyming words and structure. In Science, we turned into shadow experts! We conducted an experiment to investigate whether objects create a shadow and learned about the different properties of materials: transparent, translucent, and opaque. We also discovered that shadows can change size depending on the light source. In PE, teamwork was essential! We practiced collaboration and coordination in the fun challenge of 'crossing the crocodile river,' using hoops to successfully pass our entire team from one side to the other. In Music, we were instrumental! We formed our own Mariachi bands and brilliantly combined all the samba and salsa dance movements we have learned with the rhythm of the instruments. This week also included a special treat: we enjoyed watching the fabulous Robin Hood panto! Finally, in Computing, we continued to practice our crucial touch typing skills, dedicating this week to focusing specifically on accurately using only our left hand across the keyboard. It has been a lively and productive week of learning and discovery!
