A particular highlight was their fantastic performances in the nativity. The children worked incredibly hard to learn their lines, sing confidently, and think carefully about what it means to be effective performers. Their dedication and teamwork shone through, and we are very proud of them.
In maths, the children have been exploring the properties of both 2D and 3D shapes. They enjoyed identifying shapes in the environment, sorting them by their features, and using mathematical vocabulary to describe edges, vertices and faces.
In science, our learning focused on understanding the basic needs of humans and animals. The children discussed what all living things require to survive and stay healthy and made thoughtful connections to their own experiences.
In DT, we investigated structures in Japan and explored how buildings are designed to be earthquake-safe. The children enjoyed experimenting with ideas and considering how design choices can improve safety.
Well done on a fantastic week year 2 and your excellent 10 out of 10 performances.
