Year Five

As well as working hard on our Assessments this week, for Inquiry year 5 have been researching and creating slides on their chosen Ancient Greek God or Goddess.  They had to write about their powers and weapons, who their relations were and a summary of a myth they featured in.  For Science, we continue exploring ‘forces’ focusing on friction - we tested the friction between the floor and our shoes, our socks and our bare feet, and discovered it was easier to slide in our socks as there is less friction between the two surfaces. As well as this, on Tuesday we dedicated a whole day to Remembrance activities and discussed the reasons why it is so important to remember those brave people that fought for our country so that we can be free and safe.
