On Tuesday (11th November), a dedicated team of four Year 6 pupils proudly represented Leigh Academy Bearsted at the LAT Primary Swimming Gala. The event took place at Sir Joseph Williamson's Mathematics School in Rochester, and our swimmers demonstrated excellent effort throughout the competition.

Each child participated in one of the four main events (breaststroke, backstroke, medley and freestyle) as well as a team relay race. A notable success came from Scarlett, who swam exceptionally well to secure a first place finish in the final of the backstroke event.

A massive well done to Zach, Erika, Scarlett, and Lara for their committed performance in the pool and also to Miss Mann who accompanied the children and cheered loudly from the side lines.

Their combined efforts resulted in a very commendable top four finish for Team Bearsted!
