In year 2 this week, the children wrote some incredibly thoughtful and creative acrostic poems for Remembrance Day, which were truly wonderful to read. They carefully chose the vocabulary that they used in their writing.
In our History lessons, we travelled back in time, learning all about transport from the past and comparing it to the transport we use today. We had fantastic discussions about the similarities and differences between them and which we would rather use and why. Our English Skills focus was on apostrophes, and we're getting very good at using them for contractions like "it's" and "don't". In RE, we explored the important symbols of Islam and why these are important to their religion.
PE was all about teamwork! We practised our team-building skills and learned how important clear communication is. Finally, in Art, we continued our fantastic work on printing, using our prints to create wonderful new pictures.
Well done for another great week, Year 2!
