Coach Pierce is entering his fourth year as the Varsity Head Coach for Softball. The Cougars under his leadership are coming off their best season in years finishing 16-7 and making it to the second round of NCHAA state playoffs last year. A season that also saw Coach Pierce earn the Mid-Eastern Conference Coach of the year award. 

Born and raised in Wilkes County, NC. Coach Pierce earned an Associate Arts Degree from Wilkes Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Appalachian State University.  

Coach Pierce  has served as a Head Football Coach and Assistant Coach, Head JV Baseball Coach and Varsity Assistant, and now serves as the Head JV Football Coach here at South Brunswick High School. 

Coach Pierce's accomplishments include two Middle School Championships at two different schools, two Middle School Wrestling Championships, as well as a Middle School Baseball Championship.

Coach Pierce has been happily married for 20 years and has two children. His daughter is a Senior at UNCW and his son is junior at South Brunswick High School. He is entering his 18th year in education and 20th year in coaching.
