Coach Williamson grew up in Northwestern Iowa and came to North Carolina a decade ago. 

 He attended Buena Vista University and Iowa State University earning degrees in History and Psychology. 

 Coach Williamson participated in multiple sports throughout high school including: football, wrestling, track and field, and tennis.  He coached girls and boys tennis for five years in Iowa, and has coached boys lacrosse, track and field, cross country, and women's lacrosse at South.  

Coach Williamson has two sons, Dimitry and Evan, who both attend Brunswick County Schools.
