Coach Lewis is entering his 7th year as the Head Football Coach for the Cougars.  

He began his coaching career at his alma mater, East Carolina as a Graduate Assistant coach.  After ECU, he returned to his high school alma mater, Clinton High School to teach and coach.  While at CHS he coached future NFL running back Willie Parker of the Pittsburgh Steelers. 

Lewis left Clinton High to coach Wide Receivers and Appalachian St for 3 years where he coached and recruited several future NFL players and won a conference championship.  Following App St, Lewis coached QBs at NC A&T and was the Offensive Coordinator at Chowan University.  

Before arriving at SBHS, Coach Lewis was the Head Football Coach and Athletic Director at East Columbus High School.  

Coach Lewis' wife, Jennifer works for BCS in the Finance Department and they have 3 children.
