Stacia Pomeroy Auray: (2000-2004) Stacia played tennis and soccer all four years that she was at Roberson. In tennis, Stacia played both singles and doubles. In her junior year, she played at the #2 position in both singles and doubles. As a senior, she played in the #1 position in both. She was a 3-time All-Conference selection and was chosen as her team’s Most Valuable Player after her senior season. Stacia was also selected to the Asheville Citizen-Times All-Area team after her senior season. In soccer, Stacia earned varsity letters all four years that she was at Roberson. She scored 31 career goals and had 15 assists. She was a 3-time All-Conference selection. She was a 3-time All-Region selection and was selected to the All-State team in her senior year. She was chosen on the All-Area team 3 times by both the Hendersonville Times News and The Asheville Citizen Times and was chosen as the Area Player of the Year by both newspapers in her senior year. She received the Ram award from her teammates as a sophomore and was her team’s Most Valuable Player in her senior season. Following her senior season, Stacia was selected to play in the East-West All Star game. Her teams had great success during Stacia’s career at Roberson, earning a 91-16-7 overall record and a 53-4-1 conference record. During that time, they finished as 4-time conference champions, a 3-A State Semi-Finalist and 3-time, 3-A State Runner-ups. Following graduation from Roberson, Stacia attended UNC-Chapel Hill, lettering in soccer her freshman year. Following that, she played club soccer years at Carolina for three years. Stacia earned her degree in Exercise and Sports Science and attended graduate school at East Carolina University where she finished with a degree in Occupational Therapy. Stacia currently lives in Honolulu, Hawaii with her husband, Trip, who is a captain in the US Army, and her two boys, Quinn and Reeves. She is an Occupational Therapist at the Rehab Hospital of the Pacific in Honolulu.
