Brandy Carland Alm: (1994-1998) Brandy played basketball, volleyball and softball at Roberson. In basketball, Brandy was a 4-time team MVP, 4-time All-Conference, 2-time Conference Player of the Year and a Blue-White and East-West game performer. She holds the school record in assists and steals and finished her career with 1033 points. In softball, Brandy was a 3-time All-Conference player and was team MVP. She was chosen as the TCR most Outstanding Female Team Athlete her senior year. Following graduation from Roberson, Brandy was awarded a full scholarship to Mars Hill College. She transferred to play at Newberry College where she was 17 th in the nation in 3-point field goals. She was All-Conference at Newberry her senior year and was selected as team MVP her senior year. Following a brief career in real estate, Brandy now teaches and coaches at Polk County Middle School. Brandy’s family includes her husband, Billy and children Gunnar and Kenzie.
