Andrew Anderson:  (1985-1989)  Andrew played golf all four years that he was at TC Roberson.  Other than his very first match as a freshman, Andrew played in the #1 position on the golf team for all four of his years on the team at Roberson.  Among his many achievements as a golfer, Andrew once shot a five under par 67 as a freshman during a match that was played in the snow!  During his career at Roberson, Andrew won 16 individual high school tournaments.  Most importantly to him, his team won the 3A State Championship in his senior year in 1989.  After graduating from Roberson, Andrew received a full scholarship to play golf at Central Alabama Junior College.  While playing at Central Alabama, Andrew won 4 college tournaments in his sophomore year, leading his team to the Junior College National Championship.  Andrew was named as a 1st team All American in his sophomore year.  After Central Alabama, Andrew received a full scholarship to play golf at East Carolina University.  He was a pre-season All American his senior year at ECU.  A highlight of his career at East Carolina was winning Clemson’s Spring golf tournament on Mother’s Day with his mom in attendance.  Andrew turned professional in June of 1993 and played professional golf until 1997.  As a professional, Andrew was the 1993 Hurricane Golf Rookie of the Year and won 6 professional golf tournaments.  He qualified to play in 3 Nike Tour events which is now called the Web.Com Tour.  Andrew has been working for the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office since 1997.  He was first assigned as a Patrol Officer.  He then worked for nine years in the Violent Crimes Unit.  He is a polygraph examiner for the Sheriff’s Office and currently holds the rank of Lieutenant.  Currently, Andrew works in the Support Services Division of the Sheriff’s Office supervising 22 people and is responsible for budget and finance.  His wife, Tara, has been a teacher for 19 years.  His step son, Josh, is a sophomore at Hendersonville High School and plays soccer.
