Norman Blair: (1965-1969) Played football, basketball and baseball for all four years at Roberson. Perhaps, his best sport was baseball as he played on the varsity team in each of his four years, accumulating numerous outstanding records. He was an all- conference performer in football and baseball. He was selected to the all-state baseball team in his junior and senior years. In his senior year, Boodie had the highest batting average in North Carolina and was named to the all-state baseball team. In both his junior and senior years, Boodie was named the TC Roberson Most Valuable Athlete. In his senior year, Boodie was named the Western North Carolina “Athlete of the Year”. Following his graduation from Western Carolina University, Boodie began his employment with Eaton Corporation. He is active with the youth sports programs in the Hominy Valley Recreation League.
