Tara-spider

Our creature is the Tara-spider, also known as an Aranagrade. It's an apex predator of only one gender! That's cool. Their species is also classified as a mammal. The Tara-spider can only live up to 25 years, younger than the world's oldest dog.

Adaptations:

The Tara-Spider has hollow bones to help it swim fast and swiftly through the water. It uses echolocation because the eye sight of the Tara-Spider is not that good. The Tara-Spider has 360 degree joints to help it stick to any surface in any direction and to help it hide in secretive places or squeeze through small gaps. It can hold it's breath for four hours which helps during migration as they spend most of the time underwater. The brain is scattered all around it's body because there is a less chance for brain damage. It has sharp claws to help it stab and grip on any surfaces.

Habitat:

The Tara-Spider lives in the poles because of its thick skin and thin layer of fat. These adaptations mean it can comfortably live in different climates. The Tara-Spider migrates to different poles because the prey that gets hunted by the Tara-Spider mostly consists of animals that have a lot of fat to keep them warm. Hence, they have to migrate to different poles in summer or they will overheat. The Tara-Spider buries itself to feel more comfortable and it's harder to find at night.

Characteristics:

The Tara-Spider hunts in packs to overwhelm and swarm its prey and every pack has a leader. The leader is the strongest and smartest in the pack. One can become the leader if it kills the present leader and shows dominance to the pack. The only thing that hunts the Tara-Spider is it's own kind to be more clearly different packs. Hence, they hunt and steal kids or food from other packs either way. If there is a fight against packs there is only one team remaining at the end of the fight.

Facts:

The Tara-Spider has a lot of air pockets to help it swim for extended periods of time because the hassle of going to different poles by itself is hard and it makes it harder for mammals. The Arangrade has adaptations like air pockets scattered around its body to help in migration. The Tara-Spider is one of the smartest animals on Planet X, comparable to a 7-year old human on Earth. The Tara-Spider has a great weakness which is hate for being weak. If the Tara-Spider feels weak it will try getting stronger and if it can’t, it will try to end itself. That's why people on Planet X say aging is the downfall

 for the Tara-Spider.

The Loctis

The Loctis is a giant insect predator. It hunts slow and fat animals. The Loctis has 6 eyes to help see through hard snow storms. It has sharp and pointy legs to help it stabilize in the ice. All across the Loctis is either fur or tons of armour and scales. Although a predator, it is still hunted by the Tara-Spider. Its has waterproof fur to help it control it's density, and the Loctis' age is a max of 10 years. On it's abdomen, it has air pockets to breathe underwater.
