As you walk down the halls of Badin, you see many students with casts, boots, and crutches. However, do you know how these students come by these injuries? Most students, like junior Zack Shuster and sophomore Noah Tincher, were injured playing sports.,
“While being at Badin, I’ve had 3 injuries from football. I’ve had two concussions and one stress fracture in my foot,” said Shuster.
Many Badin students have been injured in the past year due to football. This year students like A.J. Rowland and Shuster have had to sit on the sidelines while recovering from their injuries.
Why are so many kids injured at Badin?
“Most of us play multiple sports, so it’s inevitable that we get hurt at some point,” said Tincher.
It’s likely to get injured while playing a sport, especially if you play more than one throughout the year. Those of us who play two or more sports have a higher chance of injuries than those who play one sport or none.
There is always someone who is on crutches, has a cast, or is in some way injured at Badin. And even if it's not you, watch out. It seems everyone gets injured during their Badin career at some point.
