The M & M club is led by a group of seniors to offer advice for anyone at Badin High School who may need it.
M & M club stands for Mentors and Mentees. Even though it is listed under the “Student” tab on Badin’s website, many students have never even heard of it.
“The M & M club is a group of seniors that are here to mentor any student at Badin who may be going through a tough time and they need guidance, have a question, anything at all. If there’s a problem with another student and need to talk it out, they can do that here,” says Sid Imhoff, moderator of the club.
But how do you get involved in the M & M program?
“When a student is a junior, we make an announcement that anyone can sign up to be a mentor and then those students are selected by us that we feel can benefit everyone. We also elect a president and board members,” says Imhoff.
Since M & M is led by students, it was also started by a student who wanted to help others.
“Several years ago, Olivia Bishop came to me and said she wanted to start something like this before she left Badin. Something that students could benefit from even after she left. I had her lay everything out to get it started. This is our fifth year,” says Imhoff.
