At the high school level, a CTE pathway completer (on the CA Dashboard) must engage in a pathway that is two years long* and contain the following elements:
At the high school level, a CTE pathway completer (on the CA Dashboard) must engage in a pathway that is two years long* and contain the following elements:
- be taught by a CTE credentialed teacher
- include 2-3 courses aligned to a single industry sector and pathway
- be aligned to the CTE standards in that pathway
- be aligned to post-secondary opportunities and industry
- be guided by a CTE advisory board
- include work based learning opportunities
- be sustainably funded
*The 300 hours requirement for high school CTE pathways has been removed. See slide 5 in this Perkins 5 update.
