Online Learning

Remote Learning Instruction (PK-12)

This choice provides students with virtual lessons with AISD teachers and classmates, as well as self-paced activities, projects, and assignments aligned around the state standards. Online instruction attendance is calculated the same as on-campus attendance. Students will be expected to log in and/or complete learning tasks every day. Students at grades Prek-2 will be involved daily with learning activities up to 120 minutes. For grades 3-5, it is expected that students will complete virtual tasks that take at minimum 180 minutes to complete while it will take at minimum 240 minutes for grades 6-12 each day. Students will be expected to provide evidence of mastery daily through completion of tasks and interaction with teachers.

Elementary will be utilizing Seesaw as their online learning platform.

Middle/High School will be utilizing Schoology or Google Classroom depending on class schedules.

• Students will need to log in daily to the AISD online learning classroom.

• Students will receive virtual instruction and engage in lessons at home Monday through Friday.

• Students will receive additional learning resources (library books, workbooks, etc.) to support their learning at home as needed.

• Instruction will be delivered by AISD teachers using a variety of innovative virtual tools, (interactive videos and modules, and the use of our district-wide online learning software programs).

• Parents should seek parental access to monitor student progress in the online learning management software.

                       • Seesaw invitations will be sent by teachers (PK-5)

                       • Google Classroom invitations will be sent by teachers (4-12)

• Virtual tutoring and parent support training will be available.

• Wi-Fi access will be available at all campus parking lots.

• Students will be able to participate virtually in various Extracurricular Activities and Clubs, but not in-person events. Contact your sponsor for further instructions.

• Academic progress (grades) will be determined based on the AISD policies found in the student handbook.

• Attendance will be taken daily through review of engagement on the online learning platform.

• Meals will be available for remote learners.
