A: The district must follow the mandate from Gov. Abbott at this time. Face coverings must be worn for 4th grade - 12th grade when social distancing is not possible. All 4th -12th grade students will wear a mask during transitions. All students are required to wear a mask on the bus regardless of age. Students will not be required to wear masks during rigorous activity.
A: Disinfecting supplies (masks, hand sanitizer, surface sanitizer, gloves) were provided by Axtell ISD or TDEM for the district. All desks in the district will be disinfected after each class period. The campuses will be cleaned each afternoon. Daily cleaning of high traffic areas throughout the day will also be part of the disinfecting routine.
A: Little Longhorns will be open. Any after school programs will begin as needed and will continue as long as it is safe to do so.
A: We will not be having Pep Rallies at this time.
A: Yes, school will start at 7:45 A.M. this year. School doors will open at 7:15 A.M.
A: The teacher will contact parents of students who need special accommodations.
A: Online learning time will be verified by student engagement. Please refer to the online learning section for the definition for engagement.
A: Online learning will look different. Each class will have its own requirements for assignments, teachers will share correspondence.
A: Students will have the option to choose between online and face to face learning at the end of each 9 week grading period. Parents can contact the school office to switch between learning modes.
A: The 90% attendance rule is still in effect per TEA. However, if a student is at home they can switch to online learning until they are able to return.

Extra-Curricular
A: In person extra-curricular activities (such as band and athletics) are limited to face-to-face students only.
A: Coaches will follow UIL guidance on when athletes must wear face coverings.
