Welcome to AIARE's Professional Training Program. The PRO 2 course reviews best practices in avalanche risk management including data management and reporting, long-term observation and documentation, risk reduction procedures, worker safety, and the development of strategies to limit the effect of bias and uncertainty on individual and team decisions.
Prior to the course you will complete this online learning experience and use it as a reference during and after the course.
While on the course, you will have the opportunity to engage with other working professionals that bring their collective life experiences to the table. These opportunities will be supported and structured by a highly trained instructor team from a variety of backgrounds and geographic locations,.
Completing this online learning experience is an essential element in your pre-course preparation, yet it is not a panacea.
