You have been hired by the
Nicholas-Venglarcik Vermiculture Nurseries
to create the perfect worm habitat.
You will pose a testable question, test it out, gather data, and analyze the results to help you decide on the optimal habitat for a clew of red wiggler earthworms. You will then communicate your findings via a brochure, poster, Google Slide presentation, and/or Public Service Announcement (PSA). You must take into consideration all aspects of your worm habitat in making it the BEST for your client, a choosy clew of red wiggler earthworms.
Bedding?
Size of food?

"Providing more opportunities for analytical thinking, digging deeper, correction of misconceptions, and the ability to gather information in authentic situations... Looking at the data… what does it mean? We did see growth in students ability to question data and analyze its story. "

"This project was fascinating; to see the worms pick and choose which type of fruit they wanted. They always chose the sweeter one. And guess what? They breathe through their skin!"
Jacob
"I enjoyed doing my own experiments because I felt like I had more control over what I did."
