Welcome to the fun world of our kindergarteners here at Robles Elementary School.
Our students learn while they play, and enjoy their young and exciting life here at Robles Elementary!
For our Kinder Culminating Activity, we focused on the season of Spring. We had 3 different activities which tied to the season and the children really enjoyed learning about what makes the season so special, how to measure using non-standard units, retell the story of Peter Rabbit, and identify parts of a flower.
Kinder students measured their height with nonstandard units.
Check out our recorded short lesson and activity for measuring height in non-standard units.

It was a great experience having students use what they had learned in this fun activity.
Part of learning how to measure is ensuring students know how to count and stop at the correct flower to identify their height.
Kinder students had fun looking at flowers and identifying the main parts and functions of the petals, stem, leaf and roots.
Our sweet littles also noticed how more flowers are seen in the spring and brainstormed why nature does this. They identified that spring was a time for new growth, life, and warmer weather with such beautiful sceneries here in Three Points.
One important skill in kindergarten is strengthening each child's comprehension ability to recall important events in a story.
As children recall details, their ability to recognize characters and the setting of the story support key elements needed to become stronger and better readers.
