Have a question about your Neonatal Program fosters but aren’t sure who to contact?
Neonatal Foster Mentors: bbfostermentor@austinpetsalive.org
Contact the neonatal foster mentors when:
● You have a question about cat or kitten care
● One of your kittens is losing weight
● You have a question about feeding or supplementing
● You are unsure whether one of your kittens is having a medical issue
● You are unsure where to address your question
● One of your foster kittens has passed away (please CC bbfostermanager@austinpetsalive.org)
The neonatal foster mentors are a group of volunteers, and this email goes to a shared inbox. Please see the Neonatal Med Team contact information to report a non-urgent medical issue. If one of your fosters is experiencing a medical emergency, please call the clinic at 512-466-0720 (9am–7pm) or 888-733-8840 (after hours).
Neonatal Foster Coordinators: bb-foster-pleas@austinpetsalive.org
Contact the neonatal foster coordinators when:
● You would like to request a babysitter
● You are replying to a foster plea or asking a question about kittens on a foster plea
The neonatal foster coordinators are staff members who jointly monitor the plea account and match fosters with kittens. This email address is monitored from 11am - 7pm daily, and should not be used for questions about kitten care or medical issues.

Contact the neonatal foster manager when:
● You have submitted a medical request but have not heard back within 24 hours
● You have a concern about a potential adopter
● You have a retired feral mom who is a potential barn candidate
● One of your foster kittens or mom cat is lost or escapes
● One of your foster kittens has passed away (please CC bbfostermentor@austinpetsalive.org)
Cat Matchmakers: cat-matchmakers@austinpetsalive.org
Contact the cat matchmaker team when:
● An adopter wants help selecting which cat to adopt
● An adopter wants to virtually meet and/or adopt a cat at one of the on-site catteries
● An adopter has repeatedly missed out on kittens due to someone else being faster to sign up
The cat matchmaker team is a group of staff members and volunteers, and this email goes to all of them. If you need to contact their team leader, please email catmatchmaker@austinpetsalive.org.
Cat Adoption Schedulers: cat-adoption-scheduler@austinpetsalive.org
Contact the cat adoption schedulers when:
● An adopter has a question about where they are on the waitlist, if they’re going to get the cat they signed up for, etc.
● An adopter is having trouble or wants to confirm that they added themselves to the waitlist correctly
● An adopter is wondering why they haven’t been called at their scheduled time
The cat adoption schedulers are a group of staff members, and this email is a shared inbox monitored by 2-3 people at a time.
