Back in 2009, the Neonatal Program started off as the "Bottle Baby Kitten Nursery" and was located in a single tiny trailer in a parking lot along South Congress Ave.

In 2010, just one year after the program started, we were already pulling 100% of the orphaned kittens at risk of euthanasia in Austin.

By the time we moved into our current nursery location In 2015, we were saving thousands of kittens and mom cats each year, and had hundreds of fosters and volunteers helping us achieve our goals.

In 2020, when the Covid pandemic hit Austin, the Neonatal Program rapidly shifted from a nursery-based program to a foster-based program, and we've never looked back! In 2021 we saved approximately 3,500 cats and kittens, thanks to our amazing team of kitten heroes.
