If you received assistance from SFAz Center for STEM in developing and submitting a proposal to NSF and have received word from NSF that you are pending an award, please email us at SFAzCenterforSTEM@asu.edu as we would like to track award outcomes. If you have pre-award questions from the NSF PO, let us know and we'll provide guidance.
Study any available documentation for the evidence based practice that you plan to implement. If possible, reach out to the person who is the primary contact for the evidence based practice with questions and to seek their advice. Most are eager to share their experiences and lessons learned.
After engaging with SFAz Center for STEM to undertake the STEM-ESS process, we encourage you to share what you learned with others at your institution and give back to the growing community, thereby developing leadership capabilities.
External motivation to keep your teams moving forward and making progress towards their STEM goals comes through the following types of activities:
Get the latest updates on NSF proposals and webinars by subscribing to NSF Update Daily Digest Bulletin.
Continue to access the self help materials available online at this site.
Gain visibility to conferences such as AHSIE, HACU, SACNAS, and other opportunities to publish and present your work.
Team with SFAz Center for STEM for co-authoring and co-presenting opportunities.
Share examples of STEM-ESS Practices that you have implemented and the outcomes and impacts.
Share media related to projects. Disseminate project results through the STEM-ESS and other Social Media Sites with proper acknowledgment of SFAz Center for STEM and NSF.
Serve as a “role model” for institutions that are beginning their STEM-ESS journey, by providing at least five hours of coaching or reviewing during concept development and proposal preparation.
Serve as a red team reviewer for other institutions’ proposals (Serve as individuals not as institutional representatives).
Encourage PIs and Senior Personnel at your institution to serve as NSF reviewers.
Form partnerships with other institutions met during STEM-ESS Cohorts to pursue collaborative proposal opportunities.
