On your first log in to My ASU, you are likely to see tasks related to University policies and the training that is mandated for new students to ensure your understanding of these important policies.

Academic Integrity Policy

At Arizona State University, we place great value on the research and scholarship of our students and faculty and are committed to a culture of academic integrity and scholarly ethics. We welcome you into our culture of academic excellence and integrity and hope you will help foster and promote ethical and honest behavior in connection with your scholarly work and interactions with your peers.

The mandatory training will show up in your My ASU priority tasks checklist. You must complete it before or at the start of the semester, along with the other trainings mentioned below.

Discrimination, Harassment and Retaliation

ASU policy strictly prohibits discrimination, harassment and retaliation. As a graduate student, it is important to know ASU’s guidance policies regarding complaint and investigation procedures, as well as guidelines on romantic or sexual relationships between faculty/staff and students

Student Conduct

The Student Code of Conduct is a set of specific policies set by ASU and the Arizona Board of Regents. It includes policies about behavioral expectations, due process, student rights, confidentiality and participation in governance.

Sexual Violence Awareness and Response

Sexual and relationship violence are widespread in society and have a profound impact on individuals and their communities. It takes a community of care to support victims and survivors, and ASU provides a variety of reporting options, resources and educational programs  to prevent sexual misconduct.

Title IX

The Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 protects individuals from discrimination based on sex in any educational program or activity operated by recipients of federal financial assistance. ASU provides a variety of resources and educational programs designed to prevent sexual violence and other acts of sexual misconduct, including sexual harassment, provide information about what to do when an incident has occurred, and increase awareness of campus and community resources for support and response on it’s Title IX webpage 

Like the others mentioned above, the mandatory training will show up in your My ASU priority tasks checklist. Please complete it (and the others) before or at the start of your first semester.
