Housing

Graduate students at ASU have limited on-campus housing opportunities, and will need to find their own housing while attending grad school. Many new students prefer to live with current students in the program or other new students starting in fall. Here are resources that students have found helpful when looking for housing.

Off-Campus Student Services

You will need to seek housing by searching online or driving around town (if you're in the area). Many undergrads live east of campus; grad students tend to live on the west or south sides of the campus or in other cities, such as Scottsdale, Mesa or Phoenix.  Another resource is ASU's Off Campus Housing Guide (2023-2024).

Find/List Roommates, Find/list Sublets, and Find Off Campus Housing

On ASU off-campus housing page, there’s a 'what are you looking for' drop down at the top. The dropdown offers options including a portal to find roommates, find/list sublets, and find housing.

Campus Housing

There is currently no on-campus housing offered by ASU for graduate students.

Renter Education

ASU's Renter Education Videos are a helpful resource for those new to renting.

SOS Grad Student WhatsApp

The School of Sustainability graduate student WhatsApp channel is a great resource to connect with current students to learn about housing opportunities - and much more. A link will be sent to new students.

SOS Student Housing Opportunities and Seeking Roommates

It's recommended that students connect with one another and with their grad reps. Other students are a good source of information about local housing. This excel workbook (be sure to sign in with ASU single sign on to access) has separate sheets for available housing, housing wanted, students seeking roommates, and recommendations on local apartments (and those to avoid). The links to separate sheets are at the bottom of each page.

Some SOS students have reported issues with this application. Staff do not have access, so we're unable to troubleshoot.
