Core Courses
Core Course Progression
You'll need to complete your core courses in the first two years of your academic program. The courses you'll need to take each semester are listed in the table at left. You will be able to take electives each semester of your first two years, possibly with the exception of Year 1, Spring.
Program Milestones
This program is designed to be completed within five years. The general outline of program milestones found in the table at left may be helpful to you in identifying what you will complete each year. Most or all of your coursework will be completed before you take comprehensive exams, except for SOS 792: Research and SOS 799: Dissertation credits. Research credits can be taken as you complete your research or prepare for comprehensive exams. Dissertation credits are taken after you reach candidacy.
