Welcome to the Fundamentals of Video Production Using DaVinci Resolve 18!
In this 90–minute course, we will focus on the basic skills needed to edit, export, and embed introduction videos for your online courses.
The course is divided into three modules, with each module targeting a specific portion of the overall video production process:
Using DaVinci Resolve to edit audio and visual media.
Exporting video and uploading to YouTube.
Embedding video into a Canvas course.
Regardless of your experience level with video production and editing, this course will set you up for success and ensure that you have everything you need to get started. If there is any terminology with which you’re unfamiliar, make sure to reference the Glossary.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES- By the end of this course, learners will be able to:
Edit Audio and Visual media using DaVinci Resolve to create introduction Tallking-Head videos.
The Videos should meet this sequence criteria:
Pre-recorded video bumper with university logo and intro music.
5-6 second title with course prefix and concise video description (e.g., LDT: Unit 3 Introduction).
5-8 minutes of instructor speaking.
Crossfades between each section of the video.
Fade to black.
Export the introduction video created in Module 1 by using the YouTube preset format in DaVinci Resolve, and upload exported video to their university-managed YouTube channel.
Embed the introduction video from their university-managed YouTube channel into their online course in Canvas LMS.
