3 minute read, 4 minute video, 3 minute activity
Activity Summary
In this section you will learn how to make your video seamless by adding transitions into your video. You will find through the instructional videos and text that there are multiple transition options to add to your video. Within this activity, you will learn how to ensure that the transition is set and applied correctly to ensure the seamless video.
Using transition effects can make the transition between clips feel seamless.
Click on the ‘Effects' tab that is located in the top-left hand corner next to the media pool tab so that it is highlighted in white. This is the same pane from which you dragged your text title.
Within the “Toolbox” drop-down menu, click on “Video Transitions”. Once you click on the video transitions option a list of the available transitions will appear. Click on “Cross Dissolve”, drag it to the timeline and drop it in on the right side of the bumper clip.
Repeat the previous step once more, this time dropping the “Cross Dissolve” effect on the left side of the talking head clip.
If you see these two white shapes on either side of your text title clip, you have successfully applied the transitions.
