Activity Summary
While reviewing this section you will learn how to add text titles to your trimmed video. These will go in between different clips of your video. Text tiles can be used to label the section before the talking head portions of your videos. This will help with ordering, organization, and finding information easier if viewers need to go back and review.
Now to add the text title in between your two video clips.
In the upper-left corner beside the “Media Pool” button, click on the “Effects” button and a panel will open on the left side of the window.
Expand the “Toolbox” and click on “Titles”. Click “Text” and drag it into your timeline.
Your timeline should now look like this.
Click on your talking head clip in your timeline and drag it to the right until there is a space between the bumper and talking head where the “Text - Basic Title” box will fit. Drag the text box down to fit in the middle.
Now double click on the “Text - Basic Title” box in the timeline and a panel will appear in the upper right corner of the workspace. There are two tabs that say “Title” and “Settings”. Under the “Title” tab, click in the “Rich Text” field where it says “Basic Title”, and type in the desired text about your course (e.g. LDT 501: Unit 3 Introduction).
In this pane, you will type the title of your course and unit.
