BIO: My name is Charles Merriweather and this is my second year with A.S.U. Prep. I retired from the U.S. Marine Corps after 25 years of traveling the globe. I decided to become a teacher so that I could continue to serve our children, in the hope of creating model citizens and future ambassadors. I would like to welcome you and your family to the our fifth grade class:) This year, your students will take a journey around the world with an emphasis in becoming model citizens and world ambassadors. Schedule for the week of March 17-20th, 2020

For Mr. Merriweather's Homeroom - log into www.zoom.us each day at 8:15 AM and click on "Join a meeting." Then, enter the meeting ID number 6453231707 and I will admit each student into our online video ELA or Social Studies Class.

For Mrs. Arroyo's Homeroom - log into www.zoom.us each day at 1:00 PM and click on "Join a meeting." Then, enter the meeting ID number 6453231707 and I will admit each student into our online video ELA or Social Studies class.

Please have your student follow the Canvas log in password reset instructions to create a new canvas password.

If Canvas is working properly then use the instructions below:

Students are required to log into the canvas website below to complete their English Language Arts (ELA) and Social Studies assignments.

ELA lessons will be conducted on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Social Studies lessons will be conducted on Tuesday and Thursday.

Student Canvas Access

In order for students to access the Canvas website, they will need to follow the below steps:

1. Go to the Canvas login site: https://asuprepaz.instructure.com/

2. Enter their username - This should be their email: stuXXXXXX@asuprep.org (It’s important to include the @asuprep.org in their email address).

3. Enter the password. If you don’t remember your password or did not set one up, you can select ‘forgot password?’ Enter the username from step 2 and select request password.

4. This will send an email which you can use to reset your password. If these steps do not work, then submit a help desk ticket: https://support.asuprep.org for your password.

On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday

Choose your ELA classroom in Canvas to complete your ELA assignments on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

The 4th grade morning class students will select the green ELA classroom folder in Canvas.

The 4th grade afternoon class students will select the brown ELA classroom folder in Canvas.

The 5th grade morning class students will select the blue ELA classroom folder in Canvas.

The 5th grade afternoon class students will select the red ELA classroom folder in Canvas.

On Tuesday and Thursday

Choose your Social Studies classroom folder in Canvas to complete your Social Studies assignments on Tuesday and Thursday.

The 4th grade morning class students will select the green Social Studies classroom folder in Canvas.

The 4th grade afternoon class students will select the brown Social Studies classroom folder in Canvas.

The 5th grade morning class students will select the blue Social Studies classroom folder in Canvas.

The 5th grade afternoon class students will select the red Social Studies classroom folder in Canvas.
