Empowering our Seniors
As recognition of the standing of our senior students, their level of maturity, and their specific responsibilities, seniors who are in good academic and character standing can be granted Senior Privilege by the school as long as they have parental approval. Senior Privilege provides students with the flexibility to be required on campus only when they have a class, scheduled meeting, Advisory, or Community Meeting.
Structure:
In October, seniors in good (academic and character) standing will be granted the privilege of having a more flexible schedule.
Good standing = no significant behavioral issues, academically and programmatically up to date (e.g. completion of EE, CAS progress, IAs…)
Those with Senior Privilege will only be required to be on campus when they have a scheduled activity - class, Community Meeting, Advisory, an appointment with faculty, etc.
Requires both school and parental permission
Can be revoked if not used responsibly or if the senior is no longer deemed to be in good standing
Seniors with Senior Privilege will be given an individual pass that allows them to enter and leave campus during the day.
