Welcome to the Upper School Learning Commons
Each day in the library begins with laughter, conversations about the day’s classes, and chit-chat about life. It is a vibrant place to start the day. Upper school students frequently gather to begin their days just this way. Later in the day, students in their required study halls fill many tables and study carrels. BBC News streams on the big display, while other displays stream student club meetings or announcements.
There is a quiet side and a “social” side. Teachers often spend their planning periods in the library as well, often on the “social” side, giving students another point of contact. Two student study rooms offer groups of students a place to concentrate, brainstorm, and share coursework. Parents are encouraged to request and/or check books out from the library any weekday from 8:00h to 17.30h. Anytime you have a question, please do not hesitate to stop by or email the librarian, Liz Keating, at lizkeating@asmadrid.es.
