Welcome to ASIJMUN VI!
We are Mirabel Lee and Koyo Odagiri, and we are honored to serve as the secretaries for the sixth edition of our annual conference. As we gather for three days of rigorous debate and diplomacy, we do so under the theme Rewiring Peace in an Age of Diplomacy. This theme challenges us to rethink how peace is built, sustained, and adapted in a world defined by rapid change, complex conflicts, and evolving global relationships.
As we engage in critical thinking and diplomatic discourse, we must recognize that peace frameworks are no longer static. The world today faces intertwined challenges, including economic instability, the escalating impacts of climate change, and persistent global security threats, that demand innovative and cooperative solutions. Within your committee, you will navigate these realities, crafting policies that balance national interest with collective responsibility. Though this conference may be a simulation, the amendments you make and the resolutions you pass reflect you as global leaders who approach diplomacy with adaptability, empathy, and foresight.
The success of this conference is not measured by the number of resolutions passed, but by the depth of discussion, the compromises made to reach a consensus, and perspectives gained. This is your opportunity to challenge assumptions, collaborate across differences, and practice the diplomacy necessary to reimagine peace in the modern world.
We look forward to your resolutions and engaging debate throughout the conference.
Cordially,
ASIJMUN 2026 Secretariats
