My name is Meredith Michels, and I’m honoured to serve as your chair together with Satvik. Originally from Switzerland, I moved to Japan in 2020 and am now a junior at ASIJ. This is my fifth year in MUN. Outside of MUN, I spend a lot of time in theatre, whether that’s acting, directing, or working behind the scenes.
I hope you take this opportunity to fully step into your country and see the world through its lens. Commit to the role—not just to compete, but to collaborate, think boldly, and address global challenges with realistic optimism.

My name is Satvik Anand and I am a senior at the American School In Japan. I am passionate about public speaking, as a varsity debater as well as a delegate at several MUN conferences from middle school. These conferences have been a constant in my life, from Singapore to India and finally, Japan. In my free time, I am usually playing basketball, reading, or dreaming about MUN.
Having survived ASIJMUN as a delegate, I am incredibly excited to be a chair this year for the UNODC and witness the talent ASIJMUN has to offer.
