My name is Miu Sonoda, and I'm a senior at the American School in Japan. I began MUN in my sophomore year of high school, and since then, I've developed a strong passion for international relations and global affairs, which is what I hope to study in college. Through MUN, I've made so many memories that I cherish today, and I hope that this ASIJMUN conference will be a place where you can create memories too, and foster connections and friendships with people across schools. Outside of school, I love to play sports, read books, and play/create music.

Hello delegates!
I’m Naoki Kitabatake, a sophomore at ASIJ, and I’m honored to serve as your Chair alongside Miu. I’ve been involved in MUN since the 7th grade, and this will be my third time chairing a conference. Beyond the committee room, you can usually find me dancing, drumming, debating, or out on the football field.
If there is one thing I’ve learned, it’s that there is no "perfect formula" for being a delegate. However, those who truly drive change, both in MUN and in the real world, share a common trait: a strong sense of curiosity.
I encourage you all to stay curious, keep asking the difficult questions, and push the boundaries of diplomacy.
