A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME
My name is Ana María López Carvajal but everybody calls me Annie. I was born in Mexico City but moved to Guadalajara more than 25 years ago; this is why I consider myself a “Tapatía.” I studied Linguistics at the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara; I have a Master’s degree in translation from UAG, and a Master’s degree in Education from Framingham State. I have worked at the ASFG for more than 20 years in different areas within the Elementary section. This is my seventh year working with middle school students as Spanish as a Second Language teacher, and I just love it! I consider myself a very lucky teacher for being able to learn from each of my students’ countries, cultures, experiences, and personalities. I like to travel, go to the movies, read books and articles on how to be a good parent, but what I like and enjoy the most is being with my family.
