Please ensure that if your child has any type of medical condition, this information is kept up to date with Dr. Aina.
Whenever possible, medication should be given at home rather than during school hours. Vitamins and supplements should always be taken at home.
The school doctor is the only school employee authorized to dispense medications to students during the school day, and only with expressed consent from a parent or legal guardian, and under the written instructions of the student’s physician if appropriate. The medication should be brought to the Doctor's office in a container with an appropriate label designating the name of patient’s physician, (which includes the written instructions indicating dosage, frequency and other relevant information).
The school doctor will distribute it at the time needed according to the directions given by the parent. Medication will not be administered unless the school has been notified appropriately. It is the responsibility of the parents and the students to follow these instructions and notify the school accordingly.
