A variety of extra-curricular activities such as basketball, volleyball, technology, judo, soccer and art, are offered after school hours on school grounds. The number and types of activities depends on the availability of instructors within the community in any given year. Activities are mostly run by ASA faculty and staff. We appreciate the support of parents! Please contact us if you would like to volunteer to run or support an activity.
The ASA after school activities program changes three times yearly in order to share access to sports facilities etc to as wide a range of students as possible and to match the sports seasons for local competative leagues. A calendar of available activities will be made available each trimester, and we have a digital sign up system.
Class attendance is mandatory the entire school day before a student may attend an extra-curricular activity. Participation in extra-curricular activities is an additional responsibility that should not conflict with the student's primary academic responsibilities. High School students in particular are encouraged to consider their balance of academic demands and extra-curricular activities wisely.
Besides the after-school program, in secondary school, there are various Student-Led Leadership teams, which students can participate in. There are separate ES, MS and HS student councils which arrange activities for students both during the school day and after school.
