The library has many books on galaxies and space. Your teacher has others. These are excellent resources for finding information for your research.
Websites
The website for NASA, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, provides a basic overview of galaxies with options for more information and images in the drop-down menu called Galaxies under the NASA logo at the top of the page.
Learn more about our own galaxy to better understand how other galaxies are similar or different. LPI, the Lunar Planetary Institute, provides educational resources for students.
The Hubble Telescope, launched in 1990, has greatly expanded scientific understanding of space and provided many stunning images of stars, galaxies and other parts of the universe.
