MCBA Winners
Gibbs students who read five or more of the 2026 MCBA nominees voted before April Break for their favorite. The top vote getter at Gibbs was Attack of the Black Rectangles, by Amy Sarig King. Runners up were Four Eyes, by Rex Ogle, Duel, by Jessixa Bagley, and The Swifts, by Beth Lincoln.
In early May, the MCBA Committee announced the state-wide winners. Willodeen, by Katherine Applegate, was the winner. Duel and Four Eyes tied for second place, and Attack of the Black Rectangles tied for third with The Myth of Monsters: Medusa by Katherine Marsh.
Thanks to everyone who read MCBA books and to those who voted!
