8th graders take one of two different math courses. Math 8 is the regular 8th grade math course and Algebra 1 is an advanced 8th grade (typical 9th grade) course. Students in Algebra 1 should expect a much more rigorous pace, higher expectations and much more homework than any previous math class.

Hi! I'm Ms. Carlson, and this is my 12th year teaching in Arlington and 15th year teaching overall.
I love reading, cats, elephants, bad puns, bright colors, and being outside (especially in the fall). I also run the OMS yearbook.
