Individual timetables for students in the VCE-VM may vary, dependant on the VET/TAFE/SBAT course that students are completing.
Typically Year 11 students attend Aquinas 3 days per week, VET/TAFE for one day and structured workplace learning for one day. A sample timetable is shown below.
Students that are part of the SBAT program in year 12 will attend Aquinas 2 days per week, with the remaining 3 days being their SBAT, which will vary with industry. Some industries have TAFE 1 day per week, and 2 days of employment. Other industries have block release TAFE, where students complete a full week of TAFE twice per term. For block release TAFE students, a normal week will be 2 days Aquinas and 3 days of work, then during TAFE weeks they do not attend either Aquinas or work. Students are expected to catch up on the work they miss during this time. A sample timetable is shown below.
Typically, students that do not take part in the SBAT program during year 12 will attend 3 days of classes at Aquinas, one day of VET/TAFE and 1 day of structured workplace learning. *this may vary by negotiation. A sample timetable is shown below.
