As part of our commitment to providing students with authentic 'real' learning opportunities, our students have many opportunities to experience a variety of events, activities, speakers and community groups. Check out all the fun and see what experiences are just around the corner.
Students will venture up to Hardrock Nunawading and have the chance to test their nerve on the rock climbing walls, supporting each other to conquer each challenge. We will focus on the safety aspects of the activity, the communication from staff, listening to instructions and actively supporting each other through the activity.
Our remaining WRS students will have a fun day out on Thursday, with some teachers also looking forward to the opportunity to fire some paintballs at students! Following the Splatball we will go to Morack Golf and test our swings on the range and finally a round of mini golf.
The Happy Campers are nature and adventure enthusiasts, keen to explore the expanding 'Van Life' movement. Students have modified their original ideas of converting a campervan, to the current project of purchasing a tradies trailer and converting this into the ultimate camper trailer. With a mix of carpentry, plumbing, electro and marketing skills, they will endeavour to put the trailer together to then be raffled off to the Aquinas Community. Stay tuned for updates and ticket sales!
