Other District-Sponsored Documents for Employment

In some instances, a school or district may be interested in hiring teacher candidates for a position even though the candidate is not Intern Eligible. There are some documents that districts may elect to use in these cases. The willingness of an employing agency to use these documents does vary and there are stipulations they must follow. You should be in close communication with the Human Resources or Personnel Services staff of the employing agency to determine if any of these documents are an option.

  1. Provisional Intern Permit - may be used before CSET is passed; information on additional requirements related to classroom experience or coursework units are available in the CL-856 Leaflet.
  2. Short-Term Staff Permit - may be used before or after CSET is passed if Intern Credential is not available; information on additional requirements related to classroom experience or coursework units are available in the CL-858 Leaflet.

Intern Pre-Service is not required if you are hired on a District-Sponsored Document.
