Technology Seal

The Technology Seal promotes the importance of students acquiring essential knowledge and skills in a wide range of academic content areas, including the effective use and understanding of technology.

This seal demonstrates that students understand the global impact of technology and use it to design solutions and communicate ideas.

To earn the Technology Seal, student must satisfy at least one of the requirements below:

  1. Earn a score of Proficient or higher on an appropriate Advanced Placement (AP) Computer Science A or Computer Science Principles test.

  2. Earn a score of Proficient or higher on an appropriate International Baccalaureate (IB) Computer Science, Design Technology, or Information Technology in a Global Society test.

  3. Earn a B or higher in any 3-hour approved College Credit Plus (CCP) course. APS will define college entry level courses that satisfy this criteria.

  4. Complete a technology course that meets the criteria established by the Ohio Department of Education.

    • Starting in the year 2021-2022, APS is offering to freshmen students Computer Apps for Professionals I & II which satisfy the Ohio Technology Seal when completed. See your school counselor for details.

There are no forms or documentation needed from the student to complete this seal. APS will automatically credit students who meet the criteria.
