Unit Overview: This unit explores how the body responds to disease by investigating cells, sound waves, and the interconnectedness of body systems. Students will analyze the phenomenon of measles in New Mexico to generate investigative questions, design experiments, build models, and explore relevant careers.

Start here each day
You will be able to see the slides for each day of the week. Start class by getting your materials out (Agenda, pencil, notebook, Chromebook), and then spend 5 minutes doing the DO NOW in the BACK OF YOUR NOTEBOOK (work from back to front)!!!
***Work on a scrap paper until we get our notebooks--then we will glue this work into our INB!!!***

We will WATCH the VIDEO about measles in New Mexico. As you listen, write CLAIMS, EVIDENCE, and WONDERS you notice. FOCUS ON THE WONDERS!!!!

Pre-Socratic Seminar Questions - WRITE 3 NEW QUESTIONS in the "your turn" section about the vieo, measles or disease in general, and you personally (how you are connected to measles).

When you are DONE, take a photo of the front and back pages so you can keep them, then turn in your group's work to the bin to use NEXT WEEK!

The instructions and an example are in Google Classroom. Make sure you write THREE SENTENCES about what you learned this week, include ONE PHOTO of your work so far (NOT TESTS or SMTs), and use ONE VOCABULARY WORD with its definition!!!
