This information is sent to your personal email once you have accepted the job with HR. Please check your personal email for an email from HR with your temporary password, your email address, and more.

A minimum length of 8 characters

Select three security questions
Add an answer for each question
NOTE: Profile questions are needed to reset your password or unlock your account, so don't skip this step
APS uses Google for email and calendars. Make sure you are logged into your APS Chrome account as well as logged into your computer with your APS account.
You must immediately turn on Two Factor Authorization for your APS Google Account.

Accounts without Two Factor Authorization will be suspended. This is time sensitive. Please turn on Two Factor Authentication as soon as you can.

If you have been identified as a new hire that qualifies for a district provided laptop for your position, then please follow the steps below to get your first time device.
Click on the self-service portal link to enter a Service desk request
Select the following:

I need support for: New Hire Device Request (NEW EMPLOYEES ONLY)
Enter your contact information and submit the form
Once submitted, a technician will reach out to you to schedule an appointment to get set-up on your new device.

APS uses a lot of systems that may be new to use. Below is a list of many of the APS systems you will need to know, as well as how to access them and what they are used for. Click on the title to open the system. Note, many systems are accessed through Classlink and will route you to log in through Classlink first.
What is it for: Classlink or my.aps.edu is how you access and log into the commonly used apps for APS such as everything listed in this section as well as Google, textbook websites, and more. Classlink will automatically log you in to most of these sites.

What is it for: Synergy is the Gradebook and Attendance website for all teachers. You can also email students and parents.

What is it for: Powerschool is how you access your required and voluntary PD. Some required PD you will access from Powerschool may include Test Security Training, TELL course, NBCI, and more. You can also print transcripts of PD you have completed.

What is it for: Canvas is how you access self paced trainings that can be completed at your own pace. These trainings may be required, such as test security training, or voluntary, such as

What is it for: Lawson is your record of how many sick and personal days you have accrued, your W2 information, and you can call out sick, jury duty, personal day off work.
How to access it: go to my.aps.edu, click on Employee Resources, and click on the Lawson logo. NOTE: You can only access Lawson when you are on APS internet. Choose Lawson PRD when logging in!

What is it for: Winocular is how you search for jobs at APS as well as fill our paperwork (Smart Forms) that gets sent to certain employees from HR as part of their contract. You also renew your contract here yearly.

What is it for: The APS website serves as a central hub for information and resources for our K-12 community. This includes resources primarily for our students, families, community members and staff.
How to access it: go to aps.edu, click on Employee Resources, Students & Families, Community, or the top navigation to find relative resources.

What is it for: The Curriculum and Instruction Department (C&I) helps with all curriculum and textbooks for all grade levels. Curriculum and Instruction oversees the implementation of state standards, the adoption of academic core instructional resources and professional learning for teachers.

What is it for: Language and Clutural Equity (LCE) works with teachers and students in bilingual and ELD classes. They help with ELD testing (screener and ACCESS) and the bilingual seal. The Language and Cultural Equity Department provides leadership, technical assistance, and professional resources to schools for the implementation of alternative language services of students with linguistically and culturally diverse backgrounds.

What is it for: The Educational Technology team supports teachers with training face to face, webinar and self-paced online while also vetting primary sourced learning opportunities provided by our partners.
